What we believe…

Statement Of Faith

1. The Godhead. We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of all things.i

2. Jesus Christ. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, dead, buried, resurrected, and ascended into heaven, and is now seated at God’s right hand.ii

3. The Bible. We believe the Bible in its entirety, to be the inspired Word of God and the infallible and inerrant rule of faith and practice.iii

4. Love. We believe that love is something we do, not something we feel. It is not only possible, but expected of the believer, both towards God and towards others. Any interpretation of scriptures or any action of a believer devoid of love is devoid of Truth.iv

5. Eternal Life. We believe in transformed lives here on earth for those who accept God’s gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus, the resurrection and judgment of the dead, and eternal existence for all — either in God’s presence for those who accept God’s gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus, or forever separated from Him for those who refuse the gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus.v

6. Salvation. We believe in personal salvation of the individual, by grace through faith in the saving power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ.vi

7. Sanctification. We believe in sanctification through the Word of God, by the Holy Spirit, resulting in personal holiness of body, soul and spirit.vii

8. Divine Healing. We believe in divine healing through faith and trust in the reality and authority of Jesus Christ, and that healing is included in the redemption of man and administered according to the perfect timing of our Sovereign God.viii

9. Ministries. We believe in the ministries of deliverance, reconciliation, and restoration.ix

10. Water Baptism. We believe in water baptism by immersion as a matter of obedience, and as a public sign and declaration of our faith in Jesus Christ.

11. Baptism of the Holy Spirit. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a distinct work of grace, which is not to be confused with being “born again”. We believe that this “immersion” into the reality and presence of God’s Holy Spirit is necessary for our empowerment on this earth, both for holy living and for ministry; and is evidenced initially by speaking in tongues, as the Spirit gives utterance.xi

12. Spiritual Gifts. We believe in the manifestation of spiritual gifts and fruit promised to every believer.

13. Prayer. We believe in prayer as a primary means of speaking to and hearing from God, and that the gift of praying in the Spirit — praying in tongues — is available to every believer who desires it for his own personal edification.

14. Spiritual Fathering. We believe in the “generational impartation” and “double-portion ministry” scripturally ensampled and available only through proper father/son ministry order.xii

15. Church Government. We believe in the Scriptural pattern of Church government through the offices of those Elders who are ascension gifted as Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers, under the authority and care of an Apostle of the Work.xiii

16. Church Authority. We believe in God’s plan for spiritual authority within the Church.

17. Christian Giving. We believe in the New Testament principles of cheerful, sacrificial, regular, proportional giving to support the minister, the ministry, the ministry facility, all who “feed” us spiritually, and those in need. We recognize the Old Testament law of tithes and offerings to be type and shadow for the more excellent New Testament commandment of giving which flows from love and covenant relationship.

18. Evangelism. We believe in the active work of evangelism in accordance with the Great Commission.

19. Second Coming of Christ. We believe in the literal second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ to gather His prepared Church to be with Him forever.

20. Sexuality. We believe that God created each human being as male or female. It is presumptuous and in fact, impossible to alter the sexual identity that He gave us at birth. Sexual union and activity is appropriate and permissible only between those of the opposite sex and within the boundaries of marriage.xiv

21. Marriage. As Biblically defined, marriage is one person born a male, married by ceremony to one person born a female; that the married couple be equally yoked by virtue of the born-again experience. Marriage is to be honored and encouraged among all. It is the reflection of Jesus to His Church, called in scripture, His Bride.xv
